Steve Stewart-Drums & groove master-I grew up in the Asheville, NC  area-My first professional playing experience was when I was 15 yrs. old (when I was in high school). I took a gig with a jazz-Latin-swing-standards band playing the Grove Park Inn and several country clubs in the area.

I witnessed the parents of kids that I went to high school with put lamp-shades on their heads & do the twist-I was hooked! . That led to a gig with Ian & Sylvia & some big-time concerts.

Since then I've toured and shared the stage with Professor Longhair, Tommy James & the Shondells, Jay & the Tecniques, Dr hook & the medicine show, Little Anthony, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Johnny Clyde Copeland, Etta James-to name just a few.

I believe my strengths to be a well rounded musician who enjoys playing-especially with the 96.5 Houseband!
